The first thing that you need is the equipment. For this example, we’re going to use an iPhone for this article. But in general most people would be happy using an iPhone, iPod, or Blackberry. If you can’t afford to spend the time or money on this equipment, you can always buy it second hand on sites like Craigslist.

Getting Right Equipment

The next thing that you need to do is to get the right equipment. You don’t really need to invest in an expensive piece of equipment because you don’t have to. For example, you can always try out a cheap microphone. If you don’t hear much quality output from your microphone, just send it back and try again until you find a better microphone. You can even try to sell it at a good price online.

Next, you’ll need to get an mp3 player. Just about any player you can find can work as long as you can hook it up to the computer. Some of them are wireless, but the majority of them aren’t. The good news is that most of them are USB devices that you can plug into a USB port on your computer. This is the best option because most people have a regular CD burner that is good enough.

Finally, you’ll need to get a DVD burner. There are many versions that you can get today. Most of them are USB burners that are easy to use.

These are all the things you need to make an effective podcast. However, in this case, it’s not necessary to have all of these things. I recommend getting one or two of everything but the most important one or two. That way, you won’t have to keep buying the ones you don’t need.
