The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accurate Giant Co-operative credit union- Limited has issued a stern warning to his employees to be wary of misappropriating the bank’s money or risk losing their lives.

Speaking at a ceremony to start the operation of the Obuasi East branch in the Ashanti Region, the CEO Mr. Alex Kofi Hanson, said his investigations have shown that many banks fade out due to deliberate misappropriation of money by employees and he wouldn’t hesitate to take drastic measures against such persons.



“My source indicates that most banks that collapses are as a result of over-ambitious employees who want to get rich out of those banks, some buys taxis, houses whiles other uses the bank’s money to establish their own businesses.
I’m sending sound and stern caution to any employee of my Bank that any attempt will be signing their untimely death warrant” he said.

Accurate Giant Co-operative credit union- Limited is a credit union- that offers salary loans, group loans funeral loans and fixed deposits. They also offer current accounts and susu accounts. They currently have two branches; one at Adansi Asokwa and Obuasi.

Hon. Francis Addai Nimoh, Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Mampong Constituency who is a Board Chairman implores the public to trust the bank and be assured that their money will be safe.
“The establishment of credit union-s in communities as well as among workers have contributed positively to the national fight against poverty.



Hon. Addai Nimoh further said the move would help mobilize the rural people to adopt the habit of savings, and also help them in raising capital for income-generating activities.

Hon. Faustina Amissah, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Obuasi East who couldn’t hide her excitement said “I’m most grateful to God for having our first financial institution in the Obuasi East District capital Tutuka.

She attributed that the new employees shouldn’t involve themselves in the recent rise in youth indiscipline and the get rich quickly because of peer pressure.

The DCE urged them to take their work seriously and save a little bit to become responsible leaders in the future.

“A building can only be strong with a solid foundation as such, we shall continue to fight things that threaten the future of our children. We can only protect and guide them at their young age against scamming, drug abuse, alcoholism, quick money, and other social vices”, the DCE said.
